My tour finished yesterday, and I arrived home late last night. What a great experience it was! Nineteen concerts, and lots of enthusiasm from fans, and an exponentially increasing fan base. Having my life's work recognized and appreciated is a wonderful feeling (although if no one else understood the arts, my own enthusiam would not be diminished- I would just be disappointed in my fellows). It was a lot of hard work, but it paid off, and each successive tour or mini-tour I do is becoming more and more successful; this is in major part due to my car mechanics- one who's shop is sixty miles from me, and the other lives right next door to me and doesn't have a shop, but rather operates as a mobile mechanic- these guys keep my car from breaking down on the road, a disaster which would wipe out much of my touring income if it would happen. I'm not gettign rich, but I'm staying afloat while doing what I love to do, which brings me great happiness. I'm in a very good time in my life right now.
